How Microsoft tries to get Microsoft Edge Users and fails. 460

Microsoft owned the most popular Web Browser until Google created Chrome. The most popular Browser before chrome was Internet Explorer by Microsoft. Later when Microsoft failed they created Microsoft Edge and then around 2018 they made it Chromium based. Now Microsoft still doesn't have the most popular Web Browser so Microsoft has been trying to get more Users for Edge. First Microsoft made Microsoft Edge preinstalled on Windows but that's normal because Microsoft made Windows too. A lot of Users remained using Google Chrome so Microsoft needed to try again. Next Microsoft made it so if you visit google.com/chrome (The website to download Google Chrome) there is a Popup saying Microsoft Edge is bulit on the same Chromium Core as Chrome but with the added Trust of Microsoft. First off I won't trust Microsoft anymore then Google. Microsoft claims Microsoft Edge is safer then Chrome but there most likely the same amount of unsafe-ness just that if you use Chrome, Google has your Data and if you use Edge, Microsoft has your Data so it just Depends on who you want to have your Data. So do you want Satya Nadella (CEO of Microsoft) to have your data or Sundar Pichai to have your Data (CEO of Google). Also every Microsoft product now opens links in Edge no matter what so if you use Outlook, Microsoft Teams etc. You will be forced to use Microsoft Edge or else... Another thing is that Microsoft has been Making Microsoft Edge look more and more like Google Chrome over the years like when Microsoft Edge was released in 2015 it didn't look like Chrome but now it looks just sightly different from Chrome with Microsoft Accounts and Copilot AI instead of Google Gemini AI. Microsoft Edge still has some things different from Chrome but they have become quite similar. But why will this affect Market Share? You see if someone is used to using Chrome and they see Edge and how it looks like Chrome they will be more likely to switch to Edge because the UI is what they remember.
