The History of Great Britian and Ireland starts here. Main source along with various other sources including my memory: geacron.com. By 2800 BCE, the Bell-Beaker people settled on Great Britian. They were called the Bell-Beakers because of their bell-shaped drinking beakers that were found. By 1800 BCE, Great Britian came into the bronze age. By 1000 BCE, the Celts lived in Great Britian and Ireland. By 300 BC, the Celts were divided between the Britons, Scoti, and Hibernia who on the island of Ireland. In the 40s AD, the Romans who landed in southern Great Britian founded Camulodunum in the site of an old Celtic settlement. In 44 AD, Rome colonized what is now southern England and Cornwall. In 47 AD, the Romans founded Londinium. In 52 AD, Rome colonzied Wales and central England. In 61 AD, Camulodunum was destroyed by a Celtic uprising of the Iceni tribe. In 80 AD, the Romans colonized the rest of England. In 81 AD, the Romans began their conquest of Scotland. In 88 AD, the Romans fled Scotland due to fierce Pict resistance. In 141 AD, Rome re-attempted to conquer Scotland but the operation failed by 164 AD. In 260 AD, the Roman emperor died in combat with the Sassinanians and his son gained shaky control over Rome. The Gallic Empire broke off from the Roman empire in Gaul and Britannia. In 262 AD, the Gallic Empire conquered Spain. In 270 AD, Rome re-conquered Spain and in 275 AD, Rome finished conquering the Gallic Empire. In 396 AD, the Roman emperor, Diocletian, thought the empire was no longer feasable to rule from the seat of Rome. So he divided the empire between east and west. The western Roman Empire got control of England. By 400 AD, the Roman city of Eboracum in Britiannia was abandonned because of frequent floods from the nearby rivers. By 410 AD, the Romans had abandonned England to save Legions for the Barbarian invaders and the Britons remained in England.
