The year is 1000 AD. The kingdom of Armenia stretches from Gyumri to Ararat and from eastern Anatolia to Nakhichevan. In 1001 AD, Byzantium annexed Tayk from Armenia. In 1046 AD, Byzantium conquered Armenia. In 1072 AD, Armenia was conquered by the Seljuq Turks. In 1128 AD, Georgia occupied Armenia from the Seljuqs. In 1232 AD, Armenia was conquered by the Mongols. By 1260 AD, the Mongol empire collapsed and Armenia came under the control of the II Khan. In 1336 AD, the Seljuq empire collapsed and Armenia came under the control of the Chupanids. In 1358 AD, the Jalayirids conquered the Chupanids. In 1394 AD, the Timurids conquered the Jalayirids. In 1407 AD, Qara Yusuf returned from exile in Egypt and instated Kara Koyunlu in Timurid territory. In 1468 AD, Kara Koyunlu was conquered by a regional power and became Ak Koyunlu.
